'Antiviral Discovery: Emerging and Re-emerging Viruses' lecture today
Sara Cherry, professor of medical science and professor of microbiology in biochemistry and biophysics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, will present "Antiviral Discovery: Emerging and Re-emerging Viruses" at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the BRI Lecture Hall at Pat Roberts Hall.

Cherry earned her doctorate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the department of genetics at Harvard Medical School. She is a member of the Genetics Society of America, the American Society for Virology, the American Association of Immunologists, the American Society for Microbiology and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Cherry was named an American Association for the Advancement of Science fellow in 2022.
