Sept. 6 presentation: Verizon 2013 Data Breach Investigations Report

Submitted by Elizabeth Shannon

K-State’s office of information security and compliance invites K-Staters to a presentation on Verizon’s 2013 Data Breach Investigations Report from 9-11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, in the Hemisphere Room at Hale Library. The report is the best way to understand the data security threat landscape: where attacks originate, what form they take, and what you need to do to mitigate them.

David Hylender, member of Verizon's RISK Team, has been one of the primary authors/analysts of the Data Breach Investigations Report since its inception. He will share trends based on the combined efforts of 19 global organizations and an analysis of more than 47,000 security incidents and 621 confirmed breaches.
