Wytko performs as concerto soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica

Anna Marie Wytko, professor of saxophone in the Kansas State University School of Music, Theatre, and Dance performed the historically and musically significant "Concerto for Saxophone and String Orchestra" by Alexander Glazunov as concerto soloist with the prestigious National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica in San José.

In addition to her performances, and per invitation of the Latin American Alliance of Saxophonists, she presented master classes for students from throughout Latin America and beyond.

Wytko is a K-State International Educator of the Year award recipient and Yamaha artist-clinician. She has performed as concerto soloist throughout England and Scotland, with the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica, the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, the Polish Air Force Wind Symphony, the Banda Sinfónica de Montevideo of Uruguay, and with the Banda de Conciertos de San José of Costa Rica, to name a few. She has performed as concerto soloist at Carnegie Hall for the New York International Music Festival, the American Bandmasters Association in Oregon, the American Bandmasters Association and Best of the West Festival in Colorado, the Dr. Lawrence R. Sutherland Wind Festival in California, multiple College Band Directors National Association conferences, and multiple Kansas Music Educators Association conferences. Wytko has performed and taught at prestigious institutions such as the Royal College of Music in London, the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, the Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Música of Buenos Aires, and throughout Italy in Florence, Milan, Bologna and Perugia, for instance.

Wytko's internationally distributed recordings and artistry have been hailed by music publications such as The Absolute Sound as representing "...prodigious technique, extraordinary control...no finer advocate for the saxophone." 

Wytko has contributed books published by RJ Upmarket Press, including "The Saxophonist As Rank Beginner And Beyond: A Guide for Saxophone Methods Class, Band Directors, and Private Instructors" and "The Saxophonist As Musician First — A Sampling Of Resources." These scholarly books are being utilized throughout the U.S. and beyond.
