K-State Air Force ROTC to host spring 2024 commissioning

Kansas State University's Air Force ROTC Detachment 270 will host the spring 2024 commissioning ceremony at 8 a.m. Friday, May 10, in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union. 

The commissioning officer and guest speaker will be Col. Shirley Black. Join to witness the following students as they are sworn in and pinned as second lieutenants in the United States Air Force: 

Natalie Branson, industrial engineering and Master of Science in industrial engineering, developmental engineer — human factors, industrial, systems, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland.

Nicholas Burket, anthropology, security forces, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota.

Christian Candia, social science, nuclear and missile operations, Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

Joseph DeWitt, computer science, combat systems officer, Naval Air Station, Pensacola.

Connor Gross, mechanical engineering, minor in mathematics, pilot, Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

Julian Isbel, mechanical and nuclear engineering, nuclear and missile operations, Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
