The President's Committee on Religion, Spirituality and Nonreligious Diversity presents the global observance information for May 6 to May 12.
Ascension of Jesus — Thursday, May 9. Tradition: Christianity-Protestant, Christianity-Roman Catholic. The celebration of Jesus' ascension into heaven and enthronement as universal sovereign. It comes 40 days after Easter.
