Undergraduate research opportunities through SDUR
Submitted by Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research
Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research, or SDUR, is offering two opportunities for undergraduate research involvement: the Undergraduate Research Amplification Project and the 2025 Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium.
The Undergraduate Research Amplification Project, funded by Student Governing Association, will offer 10 undergraduates $2,000 to support their unfunded, student-directed research project for one academic year, 2024-2025.
With this funding, SDUR hopes to amplify research in areas of study which are traditionally underfunded and where the student is the primary researcher. Students with a lack of access to research opportunities are welcome to consult with SDUR prior to applying for help with generating a proposal. Applicants are encouraged to identify a faculty mentor to guide them through their research project, but SDUR staff can assist with this process if needed.
Visit the website for more information and the link to apply. Applications close Sept. 1.
Mark your calendars for the campuswide 2025 Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium. The event will be held the afternoon of Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in the K-State Student Union. The event is a chance for any undergraduate student performing mentored research to present their findings. More information regarding registration will be available in the fall semester.
