Register now to attend September Water Wednesday luncheon

Submitted by Melissa Harvey

Spaces are limited to attend the first Water Wednesday luncheon of the academic year, hosted by the Kansas Water Institute. This networking event will highlight faculty-led research from the Global Food Systems Seed Grant Program, with a focus on advancing innovation within food systems.

The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 11 in Room 181 of Hale Library. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a poster session showcasing a wide range of research initiatives from seven seed grant-funded projects; scientists from each project will be available for discussion and to answer questions. The poster session will highlight the program's focus on innovation, workforce development and economic impact.

Water Wednesdays are designed to foster networking and collaboration among attendees, offering opportunities for teaching, grant proposals and other professional engagements. Participants will expand their interdisciplinary network and make meaningful connections between the presented research projects and their own expertise and networks.

Interested individuals are invited to RSVP online. All K-State faculty, staff and students are welcome, but space is limited to the first 60 registrants. A complimentary lunch will be provided.

The Kansas Water Institute hosts Water Wednesday events each month, aiming to facilitate meaningful exchanges and showcase impactful research. The full Water Wednesday schedule for this year is available on the Kansas Water Institute website. To request additional information, contact water@k-state.edu.
