Handler Cuts
Handlers are the mainstay of the disc movement in Ultimate. As such, they line up at the front of the stack and make the first cuts.

In the illustration, player "H" is the handler that picks up the disc after a throw-off or turnover. One at a time, the other two handlers (H1, H2) cut up the field toward the player with the disc in hopes of receiving a pass.

Once one of the handlers gets the disc, they look down the field for a mid: H1 looks for M1; H2 looks for M2. If their mid cannot get open they look back and across the field to swing the disc back to one of the other handlers.
