Writer's Circle is a student organized
workshopping group for creative non-fiction, fiction, and poetry
here at Kansas State University. It meets once or twice per week,
depending on demand, and is a great place to workshop pieces in a
safe, no pressure environment. There are no requirements to come
and no commitment what-so-ever; you can come to as many or as few
meetings as you like. We like everyone to bring a piece to
workshop, but also welcome people that just want to check us out
or simply add another voice to the critique.
In addition to our weekly workshops, we also offer Writer's Circle Online, a
web-based companion to the face to face workshops. Via WCO,
writers can post long format stories that we wouldn't be able to
effectively critique in our weekly meetings, enjoy the ability to
study other writer's texts at their leisure and respond via a
message board dedicated to that particular piece of writing. See
the "Writer's Circle Online" link in the sidebar for more
information.
Hope to see you at the next meeting!
