Variety of losses
Do the losses you identified in the Workbook fit any of the following categories?

We all face developmental losses. Age changes our appearance and diminishes our physical strength and flexibility. Our children grow up and pursue their own lives. We may suffer the loss of things of importance. A thief steals an heirloom ring. A grandmother’s clock falls and breaks. Our house burns down, or a flood destroys our belongings.

Personal trauma challenges some of us. We may suffer a severe facial burn, lose a limb to an accident, or lose our sight or hearing.

We face the temporary loss of a loved one. For example, a child goes to college or a military spouse goes overseas. Some of us have to survive the permanent loss of a loved one through death or divorce.
We may face the loss of a beloved pet, an affectionate creature that we integrated into our lives and found to be a boundless source of daily affection.

Reexamine your types of loss you listed in your workbook entry. Did you overlook any?
