Self-respect
is more action than attitude
Self-respect depends not on facts and achievements themselves but
rather what we do with them. Working hard at school leads to self-respect,
not the achievement of the degree. Bringing my professional skills
to the university and doing my best to apply them contributes to
self-respect, not just being in the position. Making a home for
a child contributes more to self-respect than becoming a parent.
