Meet with your learning partner and ask him or her to tell you
at least one thing he believes is “true” about
you. Then ask her to describe what she has observed in you
to form this belief. If you want, ask her to identify several
additional true things about you.
Later, write about this exchange in your journal. Is this “truth” (or “truths”)
an objective fact or an impression, a judgment? Did you really
learn something “true” or did you hear the other’s
impression of you?
Revisit your list of five beliefs. Replace facts,
if you listed any, with new judgments. Finish with a list of
five beliefs.
