In a similar way, each of the more desirable extremes of each temperament characteristic can at times be a weakness. Low activity level children can lack “get-up-and-go;” Children with a high positive mood may have a harder time showing serious compassion for someone who is hurting.

Go over your list of unchangeable traits and review your temperament pie. For each quality that may have brought you into conflict with parents and/or teachers, record in your journal how that quality can bring something positive to your life. For each quality that is socially desirable, list how that quality can be the source of unexpected problems.
