Knowing the difference between what can and cannot be changed is critical
Knowing the difference between what we can and cannot change is no simple task. A student may be doing poorly in math because he is goofing off and not paying attention in class. He may not be doing his homework. Another student with the same poor grade may be working hard and doing his best, but does not have the ability to be superior in math. The first student should be confronted; the second, supported.
