Evaluating Your Limits
Write down as fully as possible two limits you have for your children. For each limit, ask yourself: Is it important, reasonable, positive, and clear? Do I enforce it consistently? If necessary, rewrite the limit to make it more effective. This week, focus on your expectations for your children. Consider the number of limits you have for them. Do you have too many? Practice stating your limits in positive and simple terms.
