Imagine one of your children has grown up
and is now a late middle aged person. A friend approaches your
child, now an adult, and asks, What did your mother (or father)
stand for? What did you learn from him? What did you learn from
her? What difference did she (or he) make to you because she (or
he) was your mother or father? How would you want your adult
child to respond? What would your child say about you? In other
words, what did you really want to get across to your child during
childhood? If you are keeping a journal, record what you hope what
your child would say.
If you are keeping a journal, record your hopes and dreams
about what is truly important for you to accomplish.
