Tool
#13. Provide reassuring routines
Definition:
Children sometimes misbehave because of stressful changes in their lives.
When their routine is disturbed, provide children with dependable, reassuring
experiences.
Examples:
Parents
take the time to eat breakfast with their young grade schooler. Before
she leaves for school, one or both of the parents give her a hug.
Every
evening, before his son goes to sleep, father reads a bedtime story.
Father
takes his teenage daughter out to lunch at least once a week. |
