Event Publishing Guidelines
Title
The title should be brief, but self-contained. Titles will be prominent in event lists, and many readers will scan titles looking for events of interest. As such, generic titles such as "Reception" and "Meeting" are not specific enough. On the other hand, overly-specific titles such as "Reception for Bob Jones, candidate for associate vice-provost for information technology services", is overly long.
Do not include a period at the end of the title.
Description
The description should not include event details that are specified elsewhere. Specifically, do not include the date, time, sponsor, etc.
Do not include paragraphs or line breaks inside the description.
Bold and italic formatting is available. However, do not use these to attempt to make your event seem more prominent than others.
