2014 Eclub Lecture on Operational Amplifiers
April 8, 15, 22, 2014 -Durland/Rathbone 1052
Over a three week period, Tim Sobering presented an open lecture series on operational amplifiers(opamps). Tim is the director of the Electronics Design Laboratory (EDL) and is passionate about the design of analog electronics. His first talk covered a brief history of opamp design, and the properties of ideal opamps. His second lecture introduced opamp non-idealites, (bias current and offset voltage to name a few) and the effects they have in circuit design. The last lecture provided an in depth overview of opamp stability and several practical design applications with Bode plots.
