Pre-Optometry Club welcomes Oklahoma College of Optometry
The Pre-Optometry Club will host an admissions representative from the Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in 204 K-State Student Union.
Optometrists are independent primary health care professionals who improve vision and quality of life; examine, diagnose and treat diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system; and prescribe medications, low vision rehabilitation, vision therapy, contact lenses and perform certain surgical procedures. The average salary for optometrists in the upper Midwest is $156,091.
