K-State offers additional COVID-19 testing sites for fall semester

Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing

Lafene Health Center is offering additional COVID-19 testing sites across the Manhattan campus for Kansas State University students, faculty and staff. The remote testing sites are for voluntary asymptomatic testing and are part of the university's COVID-19 testing plan

The additional Manhattan campus testing sites and hours include:

  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays at Derby Dining Center.
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays at Kramer Dining Center.

Appointments are recommended for the remote testing sites, but walk-ins also are accepted. Appointments can be made on the myLafene+ patient portal or by calling 785-532-6544.

Students, faculty and staff on the Salina campus can access on-campus asymptomatic COVID-19 testing at the Lafene at K-State Salina location. Students on the Olathe campus should contact their primary care providers or the Johnson County Health Department to access a testing location.

COVID-19 testing at Lafene Health Center
Lafene Health Center also continues to provide access to voluntary asymptomatic and symptomatic COVID-19 testing to K-State students, faculty and staff. Appointments are required for COVID-19 testing at Lafene Health Center and can be made on the myLafene+ patient portal or by calling 785-532-6544.

Voluntary asymptomatic testing is provided at no charge for all enrolled students, regardless if they live on campus or off campus, and for faculty and staff. Students, faculty and staff may participate in asymptomatic testing once every two weeks. Participation is voluntary and the results of the test are confidential.

Symptomatic testing is for individuals who are presenting COVID-19-like symptoms. If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, call Lafene Health Center at 785-532-6544 to schedule a symptomatic testing appointment. Symptomatic testing requires an office visit with a provider and all faculty and staff will be charged an office visit fee.

Students, faculty and staff also may ask for testing from their local physician or applicable medical professional.
