K-Staters can exchange green Lafene vaccine cards for white CDC COVID-19 vaccine cards

Submitted by Lafene Health Center

As the holiday travel season begins, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued guidance for COVID-19 vaccination cards and international travel.

The green COVID-19 vaccine cards that Lafene Health Center issued for K-State students, faculty and staff at on-campus COVID-19 vaccine clinics are not valid for international travel. According to CDC guidance, only white COVID-19 vaccination cards issued by the CDC can be used for international travel because of fraud concerns.

K-State students, faculty and staff who were vaccinated against COVID-19 at Lafene Health Center and received a green COVID-19 vaccine card can exchange their green cards for white CDC-labeled cards at Lafene.

K-Staters can request a CDC-labeled COVID-19 vaccine card by following these steps:

  • Message a nurse through the myLafene+ patient portal or call 785-532-6544.
  • Lafene Health Center will notify the individual when the card is ready for pickup.
  • Individuals should allow at least 72 hours for Lafene Health Center to get the card prepared.
