Weekly global religious, spiritual and nonreligious observance information

Submitted by Stefan Yates

The President's Committee on Religion, Spirituality and Nonreligious Diversity presents the global observance information for Feb. 7-Feb. 13.

Feb. 13: Triodion, also known as the Lenten Triodion, begins for Orthodox Christian communities. It marks the period leading up to Lent. The Lenten Triodion is the liturgical book having prescriptions for the fasting period preceding Easter and for the few weeks leading up to the fast.

The President's Committee on Religious, Spiritual and Nonreligious Diversity welcomes those of all global religious, spiritual and nonreligious commitments. Further, we welcome any suggestions, questions or other comments. Please contact the chair, Bev Earles, at earles@k-state.edu.
