Dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences finalists announced

The search committee announces three finalists who will interview for the dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences position and invites you to attend the open forums presented by each candidate.

  • Yoshitaka Iwasaki, professor and chair of the Department of Public Health and Recreation at San Jose State University, will interview March 6-8. The open forum will be from 4-5 p.m. on March 7 in 163 Justin Hall. A reception will follow from 5-6 p.m. in Hoffman Lounge in Justin Hall.
  • Rose Marie Ward, professor and associate dean of the Graduate School at Miami University, will interview March 9-11. The open forum will be from 4-5 p.m. on March 10 in 163 Justin Hall. A reception will follow from 5-6 p.m. in Hoffman Lounge in Justin Hall.
  • Brian Focht, professor and vice chair of the Department of Human Sciences at The Ohio State University, will interview March 10-12. The open forum will be from 4-5 p.m. on March 11 in 163 Justin Hall. A reception will follow from 5-6 p.m. in Hoffman Lounge in Justin Hall.

K-Staters are encouraged to review the application materials and attend each open forum and Q&A session titled, "Leading the College of Health and Human Sciences During a Time of Change: Opportunities and Challenges."

Application materials and itinerary for each candidate are available on the provost's search website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. For those unable to attend in person, the open forums will be streamed live and archived on the provost’s search website. An online candidate feedback survey will be available on that website. Each feedback survey will close at 5 p.m. two days following each candidate’s open forum and the presentation will be removed from the website at that time.

Oral or written feedback on the candidates may also be directed to members of the search committee. Please provide feedback no later than Sunday, March 13.
