K-State Gardens offering tour guide training
The Kansas State University Gardens need volunteers to be garden docent tour guides.
Training consists of three 1:30-3 p.m. sessions on Wednesdays in March and April in the Gardens Visitor Center Conference Room. The only qualifications necessary are an interest in the Gardens and a willingness to help.
The following is the schedule and topics:
- March 29: Gardens history and layout.
- April 5: Specialty gardens, collections and south garden tour.
- April 12: Interpretation, experienced tour leader panel and practice tour
