MBA students participate in Case ethical leadership competition

Members of the Kansas State University College of Business Administration Master of Business Administration Case Competition team recently traveled to Waco, Texas, for the National MBA Case Competition in Ethical Leadership at the Dale P. Jones Business Ethics Forum, hosted by Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business.
Participants from K-State included Morgan Stone, Zoe Flowers, AJ Lenartowicz and Garrett Whoolery.
The competition provides students with the opportunity to showcase their grasp of leadership principles and fosters the cultivation of ethical leaders through hands-on experiential learning.
"Case competitions like this Baylor event, where students have just 24 hours to digest a case, conduct background research, and prepare a formal set of recommendations, provide one of the most intense and beneficial learning experiences an MBA degree can offer," said Marne Arthaud-Day, von Waaden business administration professor. "Students have to leverage their complete skill set to develop a creative and feasible solution to a complex business problem, while competing under time pressure against peers from top programs around the country. The Baylor case competition focuses on ethical leadership, which nicely complements our MBA program design, with its dual emphasis on strategic analysis and managing the triple bottom line."
K-State competed against teams from Iowa State University, Baylor University, Pepperdine University, Brigham Young University, the University of Cincinnati, Indiana University, the University of Kansas, the University of Minnesota, Missouri State University, Oklahoma State University and Texas Christian University.
