The Carl R. Ice College of Engineering is celebrating its 97th Open House. Explore displays, presentations and competitions in Durland, Fiedler, Engineering, Rathbone, Seaton and Ward halls.
Opening ceremonies
Displays for each department, skits and the crowning of St. Patricia and St. Patrick kick off engineering's open house. 4 p.m. Friday, inside the atrium of Rathbone Hall.
Degree program displays
Browse our student showcases as they demonstrate what they've learned. Displays range from cutting-edge research to cybersecurity to robots and much more!
Calling all kids
Build a toolbox with construction science and management students in Seaton Hall, along with displays in each department for children to participate in and learn about engineering. Come early as supplies are limited!
Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe teams
Visit Fiedler Hall to see our steel bridge and concrete canoe student design teams to learn how a canoe made of concrete can float!
Robotics Teams
Spend time with our robotics teams to see how our students are working on the future.
Powercat Motorsports Formula SAE Team
See the new formula car along with past cars designed by K-State students and take a look up close at how this car was designed in Engineering Hall.
Chem-E Car Team

Pancake feed
Join biological and agricultural engineering students and faculty for a Saturday morning pancake breakfast. Cost does apply. 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in 1023 Seaton Hall.
Interactive displays
Watch as students from the department design teams demonstrate the capabilities of their quarterscale tractor, mechatronic robots, Formula One and Baja race cars, chemical-powered vehicles, fountains, concrete canoe, steel bridge and unmanned aerial planes throughout the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering.
