Office Recognition for Employee Retirement
The lead employee of the retiree or an administrator and one or more administrators plan an appropriate recognition event, and purchase a card and/or recognition gift (if part of the planned recognition event).
- Event possibilities
- Luncheon or dinner where all who attend buy their own lunch or dinner. An administrator pays for the meal of retiree.
- In office reception during office hours where the administrators pay for cake, beverages, etc. Available office paper supplies to be used.
- Out of the office reception during office hours where the administrators pay for cake, beverages, paper supplies, etc.
- The lead employee of the retiree and the retiree agree upon an appropriate recognition; the lead employee is to review the agreed upon recognition with her/his supervisor and/or an administrator.
- Recognition Gift possibilities
- The lead employee of the retiree or an administrator purchases a card and circulates the card and a request from employees an optional $5.00 donation for a gift.
- The lead employee of the retiree or an administrator and one or more administrators purchase a recognition gift.
- The lead employee of the retiree and the retiree agree upon an appropriate recognition; the lead employee is to review the agreed upon recognition with her/his supervisor and/or an administrator.
