About the Kansas State University Social Club
Established in 1911, this organization was founded to facilitate interdisciplinary social interaction and to create opportunities for new friendships among its members. Though customs and activities have changed over the years, the same purpose survives. The monthly general membership meetings, with meals, provide varied, entertaining and informative programs with an opportunity to make new acquaintances. Members may also participate in a variety of small focus groups, aptly named "interest groups", where there is the opportunity to meet with others who share common interests. A more recent achievement of Social Club, and one of which we are proud, is the opportunity to offer four named scholarships for students.
