Free MATLAB training seminar for AI-driven agriculture

Submitted by Institute for Digital Agriculture and Advanced Analytics

The Institute for Digital Agriculture and Advanced Analytics is partnering with MathWorks to offer the complimentary in-person seminar AI-Driven Agriculture: A Low-Code Approach for faculty, researchers, students and staff. The seminar will be held from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in Room 123 of the Staley School of Leadership. Space is limited, so please register in advance.

Digital agriculture presents researchers and producers with the challenge of integrating complex, cutting-edge workflows to collect large amounts of data, develop sophisticated AI models, and deploy algorithms to autonomous systems and farmer-facing applications. These tasks can be daunting for subject matter experts who may not have deep computational backgrounds.

This seminar will address these challenges by showcasing an integrated computing environment that enables researchers to perform these tasks with little to no coding.

Attendees will:

  • Explore MATLAB and Simulink and learn how these platforms support complex agricultural research through computational modeling and simulation.
  • Listen to a live demonstration on collecting, aggregating and analyzing sensor data using ThingSpeak.
  • Learn from a live demonstration how low-code tools in MATLAB facilitate image processing and machine-learning workflows while auto-generating code.

This seminar is ideal for researchers, data scientists and engineers focused on advancing digital and precision agriculture through computation.
