2013 International Educator of the Year award nominations

Submitted by Mary K. Pyle

The office of international programs announces the call for nominations for the 2013 International Educator of the Year award. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The International Educator of the Year award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to advancing international education on our campus. Faculty, staff, administrators or other members of the K-State community may be honored for major contributions and sustained commitment to internationalizing our campus.

Provost April Mason will announce the winner and present the honoree with a $1,000 award at the International Educator of the Year award reception from 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the new English Language International Technology Commons in Wildcat Landing, Suite 204.

The International Educator of the Year award reception is a big part of Kansas State University’s International Education Week, celebrated Nov. 11-20. International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of Education and Department of State. First established in November 2000, International Education Week was created to celebrate the benefits of global education and exchange: Citizens become better collaborators, competitors and compassionate neighbors in this global society.
