College of Architecture, Planning & Design faculty presented at various national meetings recently.
Lee Skabelund, associate professor, presented "Monitoring blue grama (Bouteloua gracilis) other native grasses and forbs, and climatic variables on an integrated green roof system in the Flint Hills Eco-region" at the Society for Ecological Restoration 2013 World Conference on Ecological Restoration, Oct. 6-11, in Madison, Wis.
The America Planning Association Conference was Oct. 3-4 in Manhattan, Kan. The following faculty and the title of their presentations at the conference included:
- Jason Brody, assistant professor, "The Armory: interdisciplinary education in urban planning, design, and development."
- Huston Gibson, assistant professor, "Talking Green in Red States."
- Tim Keane, professor, "Political Fragmentation, Development and Water Resource Management."
- John Keller, professor, "Generations of Sign Control."
- Larry Lawhon, associate professor, participated in the panel, "Exactions and Development Fees, Innovative Techniques for Capital Improvements."
- Kate Nesse, assistant professor, "What Political Yard Signs Indicate."
