Tilford Incentive Grants available
The Tilford Incentive Grant Application process is now open for faculty interested in promoting multicultural competency development at the university. These grants have been instrumental in numerous ways helping faculty promote knowledge, personal attributes and skills necessary for students to live and work in a diverse world.
Kansas State University is committed to promoting diversity and excellence. Prominently displayed in K-State's mission statement are the words, "The university embraces diversity." Additionally, the university's strategic plan, K-State 2025, describes the institutional aspirations and goals and provides a vision for the future, and interwoven throughout are statements supporting diversity initiatives.
Grants have been awarded for redesign of curriculum, for developing teaching materials, for investigating practices that foster multicultural service learning opportunities and for expanding interdisciplinary practices for teaching and learning in a multicultural context.
Faculty can access the Tilford Incentive Grant Proposal and the Tilford Grant application online.
The application process is open until 5 p.m. April 14.
