Friends of International Programs Spring Banquet April 15 features School of Leadership Studies
The Friends of International Programs is partnering with the School of Leadership Studies for its 2014 Spring Banquet on Tuesday, April 15.
Please join us at 6 p.m. for a social hour, silent auction and cash bar at the Holiday Inn at the Campus, 1641 Anderson Ave. Program remarks will start at 7 p.m. followed by dinner and a presentation by Mary Tolar, director of the School of Leadership Studies, at 7:30 p.m.
Tolar and her students from the service learning team that traveled and worked in Puebla, Mexico will share their experiences in La Preciosita, near Puebla, Mexico.

This event supports the many initiatives of the international programs office. During this 2013-2014 school year Kansas State University welcomed 2,113 international students representing 108 countries. There are 450 students who enroll in the university's English language program and 97 percent of those students go on to academic work at K-State. The international programs office provides 164 scholarship opportunities totaling more than $400,000 to deserving students and close to 700 students study or participate in an international experience abroad.
