International programs office hosts Brazil higher education system speakers April 24
Marcellus Caldas, international programs office director of faculty collaborations and research, invites the campus to attend a presentation by representatives from Sao Paulo State University Julio Mesquita, UNESP.
Jose Celso Freire Jr., head of Sao Paulo State University Julio Mesquita's international office, associate provost and president of the Brazilian Association of International Education, and Carlos Vergani, the deputy head of the university's international office, will present "Brazilian Higher Education System and UNESP strengths in research and areas of cooperation with our institution" from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the K-State Student Union's Room 206.
A question-and-answer session and meet-and-greet will follow the presentation.
"Sao Paulo State University Julio Mesquita is one of the best Brazilian higher education institutes," Caldas said.
Please share this with those in your department who would be interested in more engagement with Brazil.
"This spring, KSU welcomed 68 Brazil students — most of them sponsored by the Brazil Mobility program — and we believe that we will have increased numbers of Brazil students on campus this summer and fall," Caldas said. "This will be a great opportunity to learn more about higher education in Brazil which is one of our major partner countries."
