Engineering professor presents seminar at University of Michigan
Stacey Tucker, assistant professor of civil engineering at Kansas State University, presented a seminar for the department of civil and environmental engineering's Geotechnical Engineering Seminar Series at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, April 16.
An invited guest of the Network for Women in Civil and Environmental Engineering, her presentation was "Electrical Resistivity and Induced Polarization Imaging for Unknown Bridge Foundations." While on campus, Tucker visited with network students as part of an effort to have female students connect with women in the field of civil engineering. She also participated in a session with doctoral students interested in careers in academia, where the graduate students asked questions about her career, in particular the transition from student to professor and the application process.
