Doctoral student looking for help in the role of the family in elder driving retirement
Submitted by Jill Frost-Steward
Jill Frost-Steward, doctoral candidate in family studies, is seeking participants for her dissertation research on family involvement in elder driving retirement decision-making.
Frost-Steward would like to interview two — or more — mid-life family members from families with an older relative who stopped driving because of medical conditions such as dementia, vision loss or a decline in physical functioning.
The goal of the project is to understand the family members' perspectives on conversations and events, which took place from the time someone first noticed a concern with the older relative's driving until the time the older relative stopped driving. Those interested in participating in this project are invited to contact Jill at jsteward@k-state.edu.
