Powercat Financial Counseling selects new peer financial counselors
Powercat Financial Counseling recently selected peer financial counselors for the 2014-2015 year. Peer financial counselors assist students with their financial questions and college financial planning decisions, as well as provide free financial workshops and events for student groups, living units and classes.
The new peer financial counselors include:
Lara Blomberg, junior in finance, Rietberg, Germany; Elaina Broughman, junior in personal financial planning, Onaga; Dylan Buessing, freshman in accounting, finance and personal financial planning, Axtell; Cole Foster, sophomore in personal financial planning, Tecumseh; Brady Heidrick, sophomore in accounting and finance, Olathe; Heidi Hilton, junior in finance, Overland Park; Doni Lee, junior in finance and entrepreneurship, Salina; Miranda McMahon, sophomore in finance and accounting, Burton; Shannon Stewart, junior in finance, Manassas, Virginia; and Jillian Taylor, sophomore in accounting and finance, Hays.
Elvis Hodzic, senior in finance and accounting, Podgorica, Montenegro, will serve as a new graduate assistant for Powercat Financial Counseling while completing his master's in business administration.
Five peer financial counselors from the 2013-2014 year are returning and include:
Tyler Larson, junior in finance, St. Francis; Gerald Mashange, junior in finance and economics, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe; Tyler Pemble, junior in finance, Overland Park; Steven Plott, senior in economics, Salina; and Rachel Vogler, junior in personal financial planning, Wichita.
Rachel Stephenson, master's in marriage and family therapy, Manhattan, will return as the graduate research assistant for Powercat Financial Counseling for 2014-2015.
