Committee members announced for Dean of Veterinary Medicine national search
April Mason, provost and senior vice president, announced the membership of the search committee to lead the national search for the university's next dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
The chair of this committee is John Buckwalter, dean of the College of Human Ecology. The university is in the process of engaging a search firm to support the search. The search will be conducted this fall with the goal of having the successor announced by early 2015.
The search committee members are:

• Kimathi Choma, interim assistant dean for diversity, recruitment and retention, College of Arts & Sciences
• Bruce Figger, student chapter of American Veterinary Medical Association
• Steven Higgs, associate vice president for research; research director, Biosecurity Research Institute
• Mike Kenney, professor and head, anatomy and physiology, College of Veterinary Medicine
• Maureen Kerrigan, microbiologist, diagnostic medicine and pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine
• Todd Knappenberger, president, Veterinary Medical Alumni Association
• Su Liu, accountant, Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine
• Barbara Lutjemeier, manager, research operations, anatomy and physiology, College of Veterinary Medicine
