Request for proposals for expanding Residential Connecting Across Topics Community program
In fall 2015, Kansas State University will begin a significant expansion of its Residential Connecting Across Topics, or CAT, Communities program.
The communities allow students with shared interests to live and study together. The expansion will open 10-15 additional communities to serve a diverse range of first-year students.
To ensure participation from undergraduate colleges and departments across campus, K-State First and housing and dining services invite proposals for new residential communities. This request for proposals process will allow department heads, faculty members and professionals from around campus to suggest or design specific living-learning communities.
The full request for proposals document and proposal forms is available online. The proposal form itself is simple and streamlined. Potential proposers are encouraged to contact Gregory Eiselein eiselei@k-state.edu or Stephanie Bannister sbann@k-state.edu with expressions of interest, questions or for support in completing the form. The deadline for receipt of proposals is 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3.
Questions about the proposal process or the Connecting Across Topics Community program can be directed to K-State First at kstatefirst@k-state.edu.
