Anthony Bates Foundation hosts free cardiac screenings Sept. 7 at K-State
The Anthony Bates Foundation will host a K-State Cardiac Screening Day for Kansas State University student-athletes and the general public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the K-State Student Union.
K-State student-athletes may receive screenings beginning at 11 a.m. Public appointments will begin at noon. A suggested donation of $20 is encouraged. For full event details or to preregister for an appointment, visit www.anthonybates.org.
The Anthony Bates Foundation, which provides heart screenings for students and athletes ages 12-22, was founded in 2002 in honor of former K-State football player Anthony Bates, who died in 2000 from sudden cardiac arrest at age 20.
