Time change for third annual Run Against Slavery tomorrow
Submitted by Alexandria Kieffaber
Run Against Slavery is a 5K or 1 mile walk/run to raise awareness and funds to fight human trafficking at 8 a.m. Sept. 27 at Bosco Plaza.
Registration/check-in starts at 7:30 a.m., which is a time change from the original announcement. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
There will be prizes for the top male and female runners of each distance. Both courses will start at Bosco Plaza just north of the K-State Student Union, rain or shine. Bringing awareness signs on the walk is welcomed. This is not a closed course so please be careful when crossing intersections and if you are going to push a stroller, run with a dog or listen to music.
The registration fee is $10, all of which will be donated to The Homestead, a local anti-human trafficking nonprofit organization. Shirts are $15 per shirt and there also will be a raffle. Register online. We have an online payment option.
