Letter from V.P. Jeff Morris: K-State alum offers LinkedIn tips at Brand Day
Submitted by Jeff Morris, vice president communications and marketing
LinkedIn has become the de facto standard for social media in the business and professional world. On Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the K-State Student Union Ballroom, LinkedIn guru Tim Lee will provide an inside look at how you can leverage your personal brand.
Lee graduated from K-State in 1992 and is extremely passionate about our purple nation and wants to help students — as well as faculty and staff — take advantage of a social network with more than 300 million users around the globe. There may be no better way to connect to our vast K-State family. His goal is to help graduates achieve the goal of finding the perfect career.
Following Lee's presentation, Brand Day continues with roundtable discussions covering K-State branding topics ranging from web services, to printing, to licensing. The free event will be held in the Union Ballroom from 10 a.m. to noon. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.
Also, since you can never own enough purple stuff, many of our licensed K-State vendors will be displaying wares on the second floor of the Union from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a great time to meet the vendors and find out what's available, including great ideas on how to promote the K-State brand. See you on Wednesday.
