Islamic Center of Manhattan Open House Nov. 8
Submitted by Haydory Akbar Ahmed
The Islamic Center of Manhattan and the Manhattan Muslim community invite K-Staters to the annual Islamic Center of Manhattan Open House from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1224 Hylton Heights. The open house is sponsored by the Muslim Student Association.
We would like to take this opportunity to educate the university community about our Islamic Center, the Muslim community and Islam in general. Our overall theme for this year's Open House will be Islam: Mercy to Humankind.
As part of the community, we would like to invite our neighbors and friends for a tour at the Islamic Center, to observe how we perform our rituals, to ask and discuss questions about Islam, and to enjoy traditional Islamic delicacies. We see this event as a very positive way to celebrate the community spirit of Manhattan and our appreciation for the residents who have given so much to our town.
From your first step inside, you can expect an atmosphere filled with welcoming smiles and warm hearts. We hope that you join us for an enjoyable and meaningful activity. You are most welcome to bring your family and friends. On behalf of our community, we look forward to seeing you there.
Yours sincerely,
Mohammad Obeidat
