McKinney awarded study abroad scholarship
Submitted by Matthew Grosdidier
Nathan McKinney, senior in management and member of the K-State chapter of Delta Upsilon, was awarded the Edgerley Study Abroad scholarship to study in India during the fall 2014 semester.
"Studying in a country like India, I could only describe my time abroad as an all-out assault on my senses," McKinney said. "Living within a city of 7 million people was nothing but controlled chaos, but that same chaos, coupled with India's exotic nature, gave me an incredibly significant experience."
Previous scholarship winners include 2013 winner John Nail, senior in chemistry, who studied in China and 2012 winner Ryan Knight, senior in business, who studied in Brazil.
The Edgerley Study Abroad scholarship is a gift from Paul Edgerley, a K-State Delta Upsilon alumnus who graduated in 1970. It is awarded annually to a K-State Delta Upsilon member for a study abroad. Applications for the 2015 study abroad are due April 27.
