Johnson Cancer Research Center invites applications for spring awards
The Johnson Cancer Research Center at Kansas State University is now accepting applications for its spring cycle of awards.
The center supports the research and training of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and postdoctoral fellows through competitive award programs. All center-affiliated faculty researchers are eligible to apply and sponsor applications of their students. Nonaffiliated K-State faculty conducting cancer-relevant research are invited to become affiliated researchers and apply for awards.
Innovative Research Awards provide seed money to gather preliminary data crucial for future major grant proposals. Equipment Awards provide funds for new equipment. Travel Awards are provided in modest amounts for travel to learn new scientific techniques or visit collaborators at other institutions. Awards for graduate students, including summer stipends and travel awards to present at professional meetings, are also available.
Undergraduate Cancer Research Award applications are accepted in the fall.
Award information and application forms are at cancer.k-state.edu/award-programs. The deadline for submission is March 1.
