Financial wellness workshop Halfway There: A Retirement Checkup
Submitted by Human Capital Services
Human Capital Services, in conjunction with TIAA-CREF Financial Services, will offer the financial workshop Halfway There: A Retirement Checkup for the K-State community. This session is for those who are already saving for retirement but want to ensure they are "on track" moving forward.
Two sessions will be offered — from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a brown bag lunch and from 6-7 p.m. — Wednesday, Sept. 9, in 206 K-State Student Union, as we learn how to get retirement savings on track and help keep them there.
Spouses and anyone who help the employee make financial decisions are encouraged and welcome to attend with the employee.
TIAA-CREF's workshop leaders will help you take a look at your current financial situation and help identify what mid-course corrections you can take. Objectives of the workshop:
- A mid-career financial checkup.
- Tools for evaluating your current savings.
- Formulating a plan to reach your savings goals.
- How to manage what is competing with retirement savings – college saving, short-term savings, etc.
