Fire extinguisher training offered in September

Submitted by Human Capital Services, Learning and Development

The environmental health and safety department suggests annual Fire Extinguisher Training, WTD159, for all university employees. This training will be offered several times during the month of September and throughout the fall.

Prior to attending this training session, you must complete a Fire Extinguisher online training course. Upon completion of the online course, you will receive a certificate. Please sign and date the printed certificate and bring it with you to the classroom training session.

There is no charge to participants, but registration is necessary to ensure adequate seating and materials. Maximum attendance for each session is 15. The hands-on training with the extinguisher is outdoors, so please dress accordingly.

Fire extinguisher training sessions will be Sept. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. All sessions are from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in 011 Edwards Hall.

To register for this session, you can either sign up through HRIS self-service or send an email to learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, employee ID and the course title.
