September National Academic Advising Association webinar
The first National Academic Advising Association webinar for the fall semester, "Advising Needs of First-Generation Students: NACADA Leaders Share their Experiences," will start at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, in 207 K-State Student Union.
Current association President John Paul "J.P." Regalado, President-Elect David Spight, Vice President-Elect Dana Zahorik and Executive Director Charlie Nutt all understand the first-generation college students' experience from personal experience.
Sponsored by the National Academic Advising Association First-Generation College Student Advising Interest Group, Regalado, Spight, Zahorik and Nutt will discuss their experiences including what challenges they faced, what inspired them and what helped them overcome. Plan to join us as association Leaders share what it has meant to them to be first generation students and what academic advisors can do to help first generation students achieve academic success.
