Purdue professor to give food science seminars

Connie Weaver, member of the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine and distinguished professor at Purdue University, will present two seminars on food science Thursday, Sept. 8, on the K-State campus.
“Discoveries at the Food Science and Nutrition Interface” will be presented at 10 a.m. in 137 Waters Hall.
“The Role of Nutrition in Building Peak Bone Mass” seminar will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Leadership Studies Building Town Hall room 114.
Dr. Weaver’s visit is sponsored by the department of human nutrition in the College of Human Ecology and the Food Science Institute as part of the Distinguished Lecturer and Ruby Scott lecture series.
